Wedding Story

From the Great Hall to Golden Hour

One day, told in chapters: the hall lit for dinner, then the walk out to the ridge as the sun went down.

Chapter One . The Great Hall

“We wanted somewhere with history in the walls. The bluestone did all the work.”

Chapter Two . Golden Hour

The Hidden Corners of the Estate.

Photographer's Notes

Beyond the Great Hall and the garden arbour, the estate holds quieter places most guests never see. These are the spots our photographers return to, each a short walk from the ceremony.

The Attic Window

A single slanted window throws one shaft of light across the old timber stairs. It turns a simple portrait into something cinematic.

Best for: Moody bridal portraits

The Barrel Loft

Climb above the cellar and you’re standing among wine barrels and hand-cut bluestone, with the room falling away below.

Best for: Couple portraits with depth and texture

The Cellar Door Arch

An iron canopy over heavy timber doors, framed in ivy. A breeze catches the veil just right here.

Best for: Veil shots, first kiss

The Garden Stairs

Red-brick steps climb beside the bluestone walls, lined with garden beds and stone urns. It feels like a private courtyard, a few steps from the building.

Best for: Walking shots, full-length gowns

Under the Old Tree

Timber steps wind down beneath a sprawling old tree, with agapanthus spilling over the edges. Green, shaded and tucked away.

Best for: Relaxed candids

The Ridge

Walk out past the vines to the hilltop as the sun drops, and you have open sky and the Macedon Ranges behind you.

Best for: Golden hour, the last shots of the day
